Barbara Dickinson, LPTA, LMT
Barbara is a Texas Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and a Licensed Massage Therapist focused on helping you remove the myofascial restrictions and explore the barriers to becoming healthy. Her specific approach and training of Myofascial Release relies upon the notion of tissue memory as trauma imprints on the body. The fascia, specifically, experiences and records stress and trauma over the course of a lifetime, often not becoming a problem for the individual until a critical mass is reached. Through MFR, restrictions are released, and emotional memory may also be released, giving both structure and emotions the chance to heal. Barbara graduated Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor Degree in Health Care Administration and an Associate Degree in Applied Science. She holds credentials as a Physical Therapist Assistant and has a 1000 hour curriculum of massage therapy at Health Enrichment Center in Lapeer, Michigan. Barbara has 20+ years experience with Physical Therapy and 18+ years with Massage Therapy.
Barbara focuses and specializes in the John F. Barnes Myofascial Release Approach and has obtained Expert Level JFB MFR Therapist.
